Ten carved hardwood busts and six ring mounts made for QAGOMA. Each form was shaped and finished by hand to give jewellery a considered place to be seen. Together, they bring a sculptor's attention to objects designed to support the work they hold.

Contemporary sculptor based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Born in Denmark, John brings a Scandinavian sensibility to Australian materials, working with reclaimed timber to create organic forms that sit at the intersection of fine art and architectural object.
He is represented by Linton & Kay Galleries, Western Australia's leading fine art destination, and David Linton Gallery on the Sunshine Coast. He was recently commissioned by QAGOMA (Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art) to create a series of sculptural busts.
